    Description

this statue has much more detailing than the usual taco sterling and stone egg bird statues that I have seen.this is of a intricate detailed cockatoo perched on a very detailed tree with lots of attention to detailing the tree bark and leaves coming out of the branch the cockatoo is perched on . the bird itself has a long flowing tail streaming down and the feather detail is so intricate and sharp.a really skilled artist made this piece. the initials are GLR on this. I was hoping it was Reyes who designed but do not see this combination of letters as one of his signatures. says hecho en Mexico and 925 also to base . everything appears in great shape the body is a egg shaped brownish red marble stone.i have cleaned a little but there are spots of tarnishing around the detailed parts, especially on face and head feathers so will need a bit more cleaning.a real masterpiece. someone has etched a serial number, I believe for insurance purposes to the underboss at some point.
