The DP-62 radioactivity indicator is a portable device designed to determine the presence of beta, gamma contamination of an area in the field. The device allows to display gamma radiation. The start of the gamma radiation indication is in the range from. 10 to 500 mR / hour. The beginning of the indication is determined by the appearance of flashes of the sod lamp in the indication circuit of the device. Indication of the total beta, gamma radiation is provided within the same limits when the window of the device casing is open.
Registration of the presence of radioactive contamination is made by the glow of a neon lamp. The frequency of flashes of a neon lamp increases with increasing power and turns into its continuous glow. The device remains operational in the range of ambient temperatures from - 20 ° С to + 50 ° С and at a relative air humidity of up to 98% and a temperature of + 20 ° С.
The instrument is powered by pressing the lever of the alternator. No-load voltage of the generator is not less than 5.5 volts at 100-120 clicks per minute on the generator lever. DP-2 was produced in 50-60 years in the USSR. Currently, it is practically not used and is of interest to collectors. A bag is included with this device.
