    Description

This is a classic piece of Dutch dinnerware made by the Societe Ceramique Maestricht (sometimes spelled Maastricht). The Societe Ceramique was established in the Netherlands by Guilaume Lambert & Co in 1859, and in 1958 merged with NV de Sphinx. The new company, called Sphinx Ceramique, is reportedly still operating. This bowl has a high gloss glaze with crazing only visible under close scrutiny and strong light. The small glaze miss on the rim was taken with a close-up lens, as well as the maker’s mark and barely noticeable dimple on an orange flower. No other chips, paint loss, or hairlines are present. It’s 2” tall, diameter is 8.5”, and the base is 4.5”. It weighs just over a pound before packaging. The main colors are orange and green. I also have for sale a matching divided plate. Condition is "Used". Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
